Green Belt Promotion Requirements
Know all previous belt requirements plus:
Must be able to work without supervision for at least 10 minutes.
Knowledge
1.
Know the present day master of Isshinryu Karate and his rank. Kichiro Shimabuku 10th Dan2. Explain the what and why of kata’s.
3. Name all the kata through brown belt.
Skills:
Kata:
Seisan, Seiuchin, and Nahanchie1. Must be able to perform the hand chart (Te Wazas) and the kicking chart (Geri
Wazas). With good form! The charts do not have to be memorized.
3. Show an improved ability to kumite.
4. Complete required breaks.
Self Defense: All previous techniques with a counter attack added. Plus wrist
grab -counter grab with seiken.
Required breaks:
To be determined by Sensei Children do not break Concrete or Haydite
