Sensei John Hoffmire

Nana Dan, 7th degree black belt.  

 

 

Sensei Hoffmire began the study of Isshinryu Karate under John Lennox in the early 1970’s at The Mudokwan Judo & Karate School in Indianapolis, until opening a commercial dojo in 1989. In 1998 he began teaching at Isshinryu Bushido. He has trained several students both children and adults over the years who have won many  competitions and has himself won many local and national competitions.

Sensei Hoffmire has had the honor many times of studying Isshinryu kata and technique’s, with Master Kichiro Shimabuku (Head of the IWKA). Sometimes this was at the Mudokwan School more often it was in Sensei John Lennoxs backyard.

Sensei John is also a dedicated Fire Fighter who has worked for the Indianapolis Fire Dept since 1969.
